From Interstate 80, Mountain Top Exit #262
Follow Rt. 309 north about 7.8 miles to the fifth traffic light at Kirby Avenue.  You'll see a Rite Aid Drug Store and a Burger King on the right.  Turn right onto Kirby Avenue.  Then turn left  almost immediately, at the first intersection onto North Main Street (street name not always posted).  Go up hill, 0.4 mile and turn right onto Memorial Park Road.  Go 0.1 mile to Fairview Memorial Park Field #1 on your right.

From Hazleton
If your hotel is close to I-81, take I-81 north to I-80; then east on I-80 to Mountain Top Exit #262; then north on Rt. 309 as described above.  Or, if your hotel is closer to Rt. 309 in Hazleton, simply follow Rt. 309 north toward I-80.  Stay on Rt. 309 north and follow directions above to Mountain Top.

From the Whitewater Rafting Center
Turn left at the rafting center exit. Go 300 yards on Stagecoach Road to a stop sign.  Turn left onto Buck Mountain Road.  Go 1.0 mile to a stop sign.  Turn left onto Lehigh Gorge Drive.  Go 4.8 miles to a stop sign.  Turn right onto Rt. 940 East.  Go 0.5 mile to I-80.  Go west on I-80 to Mountain Top Exit #262.  Then follow Rt. 309 north as described above, to Mountain Top.

From Wilkes Barre, Pittston and points north along I-81
Follow I-81 south to Rt. 309 south.  On Rt. 309, climb the 3 mile hill to Mountain Top.  Continue to the first traffic light.  You'll see a Rite Aid Drug Store and a Burger King on your left.  Turn left onto Kirby Avenue.  Then turn left again, almost immediately, at the first intersection onto North Main Street (street name not always posted).  Go up hill, 0.4 mile and turn right onto Memorial Park Road.  Go 0.1 mile to Fairview Memorial Park Field #1 on your right.

From points south along I-81

Directions to Fields 3, 4, 5 and 6   (Dorrance Township Park – near Mtn. Top)

From Interstate 81, Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit # 42)
Follow Blue Ridge Trail west for 1.6 miles.  Blue Ridge makes a sharp right turn where a smaller rural road goes straight.  Bear right to stay on Blue Ridge Trail, and go another 1.8 miles.  Bear right again at the triangular intersection and go another 0.6 miles to the parking area (on your left) for fields #4, #5 and #6.  Parking is immediately past and behind the Dorrance Township Municipal Building which is also on your left.  Please DO NOT park in the paved lot in front of the Municipal Building.  Cars parked there may be ticketed or towed.

From Hazleton and points south
Follow Interstate 81 north to Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42).  At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

From Wilkes Barre and points north
Follow Interstate 81 south to Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42).  At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

From NYC, northern NJ and points east
Take Interstate 80 west across NJ and into Pennsylvania. Continue west on I-80 to its intersection with Interstate 81. Then take I-81 north to the Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

From Bloomsburg, Williamsport and points west
Take Interstate 80 east to its intersection with Interstate 81. Then take I-81 north to the Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

From Philadelphia and points southeast
Take Interstate 476 (Northeast Extension of PA Turnpike) north to intersection with Interstate 80. Take I-80 west to its intersection with Interstate 81. Then take I-81 north to the Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

From the Whitewater Rafting Center
Turn left at the end of the rafting center's exit driveway onto Stagecoach Road.  Go 300 yards to the stop sign.  Turn left onto Buck Mountain Road.  Go one mile to the stop sign.  Turn left onto Lehigh Gorge Drive.  Go 4.8 miles to the stop sign (T intersection).  Turn right onto Route 940 East.  Go one-half mile to Interstate 80.  Take Interstate 80 west to Interstate 81.  Go north on Interstate 81 to the Dorrance Exit #155 (Old Exit #42).  At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Blue Ridge Trail and follow the directions described above.

Go about one mile in an easterly direction on Rt 93 south toward Hazleton, to the fourth traffic light if exiting I-81 southbound (third traffic light if exiting I-81 northbound). Look for Nathan’s furniture store on your left.  Turn left, just before Nathan’s, onto Pecora Street. Go 0.3 miles to the third stop sign. From Interstate 81 in PA, Exit onto Route 309 N toward Wilkes Barre
(Old Exit #47, New Exit #170)
Take Route 309 north about 2.5 miles. Cross over the Susquehanna River; then exit immediately to the right (Exit #4 toward Forty Fort and Route 11). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right, then immediately bear right again onto Rutter Avenue, following signs toward Route 11. Go one block to a stop sign. Turn left onto River Street (sometimes not marked). Go 0.8 miles to the first traffic light. Bear right onto Wyoming Avenue (Route 11 North). Go north on Route 11 for about 1 mile to the double-set of traffic lights at Dennison Street. Notice a dark brick building on your right, just past the traffic lights (Pennsylvania State Police Training Center). Turn right immediately after this brick building and before an orange and white airplane hangar (also on your right). A small sign says "Luzerne County Sports Complex," marking the turn. Go 0.3 mile, passing a set of soccer fields off to your left. Go another 0.4 mile, to a large parking lot on your right. Turn right into the lot. Fields #16 - 29 will be on your right.

From Interstate 81, Exit toward Highland Park Boulevard  (Exit #168)
At the end of the exit ramp, turn left at the traffic light onto Highland Park Boulevard. Go 0.6 mile on Highland Park Boulevard to the third traffic light. Continue straight at the light. You are now on Coal Street. Continue on Coal Street for 0.8 mile to dead end. At the end of Coal Street, turn left at the light onto Wilkes Barre Boulevard. Go one block (0.1 mile) to the first light. Turn right onto Market Street. Go three lights to the "downtown square." Turn right into the traffic circle, proceed half way around the square and turn right again to continue on Market Street. Go two lights, then continue straight across the Market Street Bridge (over the Susquehanna River). After the bridge, go straight, past the first traffic light; then make the first left turn after the light, into Kirby Park. Proceed to the stop sign. Parking is on your left, and the fields are just beyond the parking lot. If lot is filled, turn right at the stop sign, go 0.1 mile and turn left into the Wilkes University parking lot, just before the yellow railroad overpass bearing the name of the university.

From Hotels in Wilkes Barre

Generally, you'll want to follow the best route to Market Street, proceed across the Market Street Bridge (heading toward Kingston) and then turn left, after the first traffic light, into Kirby Park. From I-81 Southbound, take Exit 165, go straight at first light onto Blackman Street.

From I-81 Northbound, take Exit 165B, go ½ mile north on Rt 309; then turn left at first light onto Blackman Street.

Once on Blackman Street, continue past 4 traffic lights and two stop signs, to the end of Blackman Street at Carey Avenue (see Gerry’s Pizza on your left). Turn right onto Carey Avenue. Go one full block and turn left at first traffic light onto Dagobert Street. Go three bocks to end of Dagobert Street at Gordon Avenue. Fields are in front of you. Parking available on Gordon Avenue and adjacent to fields.

From Hotels in Wilkes Barre
Directions will vary depending on the location of your hotel. Generally, you'll want to follow the best route to River Street southbound. Go past Kings and Wilkes Universities. At the second traffic light after the Dorothy Dixon Art Center, turn right onto Academy Street. Go to the end and turn left onto Old River Road.
