At the Lehigh River, we've had the pleasure of serving well over one million guests since our first guided rafting trips in 1975. Your safety on the river has always been our highest priority, and our unparalleled record over the past three decades demonstrates the effectiveness and value of a guide training program that serves as a model for others in our industry.
At Whitewater Challengers, river guides are trained to standards that exceed state requirements. In addition to an experienced guide crew boasting a combined total of more than 500 years of whitewater paddling experience, our trips on the Lehigh River are also supported by State Park patrols throughout the 25 mile length of the Lehigh Gorge State Park. This uniquely convenient and nearly continuous vehicular access to the river provides a measure of safety and support not found in most wilderness areas.
And finally, each of our river trips includes careful pre-trip instruction for our guests, and every trip is accompanied by first aid supplies and emergency rescue equipment.
