At the Whitewater Challengers Adventure Camp, situated near the popular Lehigh River Gorge State Park, Scouts of every age and experience level will find an adventure that builds confidence, fosters success, and renews enthusiasm for Scouting. We hope you’ll join us this season, for a day, a weekend, or a week. However long your stay, the Adventure Camp experience is one that will earn high praise from your leaders and youngsters alike! Be sure to ask for our Scouting Adventure DVD to share with your leaders, your Scouts, and other troops in your District.

 All of our trips are led by experienced, personable, professional whitewater guides. Your rafting trip begins at the Adventure Camp where you’ll be outfitted with PFD’s, and meet your guides for the day. From here, our shuttle bus takes you to the river launch site, where your rafts are waiting. You’ll form rafting teams of 6 or 7 per boat. Here, your guides will teach you paddling strokes, and review safety precautions for rafting. Then it’s onto the river, for hours of excitement and laughter. Rapids like Triple Drop, Z, Staircase, and Pinball will leave you drenched and begging for more! Ordinarily, we stop about halfway through the day for a lunch/swim break, and we may make several other stops for swimming, relaxing, or just to regroup. At day’s end, the shuttle bus will return you to the Adventure Camp.
 Mountain Biking...
is a popular sport in and around the Lehigh Gorge State Park. A magnificent 30-mile trail follows the river as it twists and turns through its scenic gorge. This is a converted “rails-to-trails” ride that boasts a nearly continuous, 2% downhill grade. Bring your own bikes, or use ours. Shuttles to and from the trail are also available.
Camping...
is a big part of the Scouting experience at Whitewater Challengers. Camp sites are conveniently located near our recreation areas, entertainment stage, volleyball courts, snack bar, camp store, challenge course, and activity centers. Games and competitions, crafts, music, living history shows, animal displays, scavengers hunts... are all a part of the Adventure Camp repertoire. Fabulous buffets are served each morning and evening, and box lunches may be purchased to take on the river. Naturally, groups who prefer may prepare their own meals in their camping areas. Hot showers and rest room facilities are also on site.
